Our History

Neptune was started 25 years ago by its principals, who left successful careers with one of the then dominant, multi-national “six-pack” water treatment companies of Betz, Nalco, Dearborn, Drew, Calgon and Mogul. The newly formed company had a different focus

The prevailing business model had been one of a relentless drive to generate new sales and more dollars per service visit, and where customers often had to deal with a high service rep turnover rate. In redirecting the focus, we have pursued a philosophy that if we take care of our customers – solve their problems, provide consistency in monitoring and superior results, help them reduce utility costs, and provide cost-effective programs with professional and unhurried field service - then the rest will take care of itself.

Our history has proven that a business philosophy valuing customer satisfaction and retention over new sales is a win-win. Long-term customer relationships also avoid the problem of inconsistent results from frequent supplier changes, where responsibility for slow-to-develop problems can be uncertain.

Being independent means we answer to our customers.

Mission & Value

Neptune is a regional corporation that provides cost effective, water treatment solutions for boiler, cooling and process systems to commercial, institutional and industrial customers.

Solutions encompass programs that include a combination of products, control equipment, engineering and personnel that best addresses the individual requirements of each customer's system.

Our treatment programs have been keeping heat transfer surfaces clean, minimizing corrosion and prolonging the useful life of capital equipment for the past 25 years. Furthermore, we can often document annual utility savings that exceed the cost of our programs.

We are known within a long-term customer base for our reliable, conscientious service that prevents problems, ensures consistently superior results, and is delivered by the same group of experienced service representatives year after year.
